Mobil Cepu Ltd. (MCL) and Ampolex (Cepu) Pte. Ltd., both subsidiaries of Exxon Mobil Corporation is contractor of Cepu Cooperation Contract together with PT Pertamina EP Cepu, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina and 4 Local Government Companies for allocation of participating interest in the Cepu Contract area, as stipulated in the Cepu KKS (Production Sharing Contract).
Government Regulation No. 35 / 2004 stated that priority in offering the Participating interest must go to Local Government Companies appointed by the Government of Indonesia. The (4) four Local Government Companies are PT Sarana Patra Hulu Cepu (Central Java), PT Asri Dharma Sejahtera (Bojonegoro), PT Blora Patragas Hulu (Blora), PT Petro Gas Jatim Utama Cendana (East Java). These 4 Local Government Companies are working under a consortium named Badan Kerja Sama (BKS).
Cepu Block is expected to generate a substantial multiplier effect on other industries in Java, resulting in increased economic output, more jobs, increased average income, and an increase in community development projects, all of which will increase the positive impact from the project within the local communities.
